What are Bach Flower Remedies?

The 38 Bach Flower Remedies, discovered and created by a Harley Street doctor, Edward Bach in the 1930’s, make up a complete and unique system of medicine. The remedies are homeopathically prepared from plants and flowers, each one specifically devised to treat a different emotional or mental state.

Flower Remedies are sometimes referred to as Energy or Vibrational Medicine.  Click here to read more about this concept.  Click the BACK button to return to this page.

Bach Flower Remedies can be very effective in the treatment of pets and other non-domesticated animals with behavioural problems.

The remedies can be used for example to aid the treatment program for excessive fear, nervousness, timidity or anxiety.  They can be used to treat shock due to physical or emotional trauma.  They can help with problems such as hyperactivity, aggressive behaviour and destructive tendencies that are most often linked to high levels of stress.  They can be given for animals who are pining, behaving lethargically, and for many other negative emotional states.

The Bach Flower Remedies aim to stimulate the natural healing response, by balancing emotions. Dr Bach’s belief that our general health, behaviour and quality of life is greatly influenced by our mental and emotional state was ahead of its time. Medical experts are now proving beyond doubt that emotions have a direct effect upon the cells of our bodies. The same holds true for animals.  The Bach Flower Remedies are being described as the medicine of the future.

Often a mixture of remedies is needed and these are prepared in a treatment bottle and administered several times during the day.
